The Guild
For Men Who Know They Need More
If you're like us, you want more than shallow content, scattered reading, and half-finished attempts at self-education. You want to think clearly, lead faithfully, and recover the kind of intellectual and spiritual formation that once shaped Christian men... but between work, family, church, and the noise of modern life, that kind of formation can feel permanently out of reach. The Guild exists to give men serious about growth a path that is demanding, ordered, and realistic enough to sustain.
The Guild is for Christian men who know they should be growing, but cannot find a serious path that fits the life they actually have.
Good intentions are not enough
Many men know they should read better books, think more deeply, and become more capable in service to God and others. Few know how to do that with consistency.
Most alternatives fail for the same reasons: they are too casual, too academic, too individualistic, or too detached from ordinary adult responsibilities.
A course of disciplined formation
The Guild is a three-year educational program for Christian men who want disciplined formation in the company of other serious men.
It is rigorous, structured, and demanding, yet realistic enough to be completed without stepping away from vocation, family, or local church.
What The Guild Offers
Formation, not inspiration.
The Guild is not a casual book club, a lecture series, or an online streaming content subscription. It is a progream designed from the very beginning to cultivate wisdom, clarity, discipline, and faithful service.
A Clear Path
Structure that does not depend on motivation
A three-year program with a beginning, a schedule, and an end gives men a path they can actually stay on.
Real Sources
Primary texts, not summaries
Students read the great works of the Western and Christian tradition for themselves, learning to engage ideas at the source.
Brotherhood
Accountability with substance
Weekly in-person meetings create the sharpening and shared commitment that isolated reading rarely sustains.
How It Works
A simple rhythm repeated long enough to form a man
The program is intentionally plain. Men read, meet, write, speak, and continue.
Read deeply
Students move through a carefully curated reading schedule rooted in the Christian and Western tradition.
Meet weekly
Groups of 4-5 men meet in person for one hour with a shared pace and common body of discussion.
Write and present
Six major papers require students to organize, defend, and refine their thought over time.
Finish the course
The program has a defined end, so men are trained not merely to begin, but to continue and complete.
Ready to stop dabbling?
The Guild is for Christian men who are ready to commit and begin the long work of formation. Are you:
- Under-read but eager?
- Intellectually dissatisfied with shallow discipleship?
- Faithful in church and family life, but aware of their need for deeper formation?
- Conscious that leadership requires more than sincerity?
- Willing to trade convenience for growth?
